Offgrid Tech is offering a one-week seminar to prepare you to understand, select components, set up and maintain a solar electric system. You will learn about PV panels, solar electric batteries, charge controllers, inverters, fuse and breaker boxes, grounding, surge protection and basic household wiring. The seminar will also cover the most efficient types of lighting, fans, kitchen appliances and pumps for use on these systems. This seminar is for those who have never outfitted a house with a solar electric system or who need a better understanding of the system they have (beginner to intermediate).
Times: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, 8:00 am to noon Friday. Includes 22 hours of presentation / discussion and 15 hours of hands-on labs with optional labs available on Friday afternoon.
Location: Ethnos360 Training Center, 361 Main Drive, Roach, Missouri 65787 (just west of Camdenton on beautiful Lake of the Ozarks)
Lodging: Rooms on campus ½ mile from the classroom.
Cost: $490 which includes 6 nights lodging (Sunday night through Saturday morning), continental breakfast and lunch (Monday-Friday), lab costs, a digital multi-meter, “Tech Tips for Living in Remote Locations” digital textbook and digital copies of all presentations.
Deposit: Reservations secured with $100 non-refundable deposit no later than May 31, 2021. Training is limited to first 20 registrants/deposits.
